The 2017-2018 school year marked the beginning of Highline College’s Model United Nations team. The college sent two teams of students to conferences in Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. In this year of firsts, student leadership played a very important role with establishing the program. Ko Tanaka and Duc Nguyen were both given awards at the recent legacy awards banquet at Highline College. Ko was honored with the “Legacy Leader Award” for the guidance he provided as the President of the International Relations Club. Duc was honored with the “Legacy Scholar Award” for his academic commitment to the program.
